Course Format

The ACS Core General Surgery Review for Residents uses a case-based approach and features approximately 19 hours of online video recordings of 66 new sessions addressing the essential content areas of general surgery, including:

  • Breast
  • Endocrine
  • Surgical Specialties
  • Applied Science
  • Trauma

A complete list of all individual sessions is downloadable inside the course. The entire course and materials are conveniently available to you within a few minutes after your registration and payment are processed. The presentation sessions are self-paced and provide video lectures with numerous case-based questions and answers. Downloadable PDFs of all slides with Q&A used in the videos also are available. All course materials are currently online and will remain accessible through July 31, 2022. Each session is approximately 20 minutes and may be viewed in any order, at any time, as many times as needed. A 40-question pre-course self-assessment as well as a 40-question post-course assessment are included; the latter has multiple re-take options. All questions and answers are covered by the speakers in the video sessions.
