Grand Rounds Series

Novel Practices in the Recruitment of Surgical Residents

The ACS Academy of Master Surgeon Educators® Grand Rounds Series is pleased to present this virtual panel discussion with Dr. Daniel Farber, Dr. Jennifer LaFemina, and Dr. Jeremy Lipman, moderated by Dr. Mohsen Shabahang, with welcoming remarks by Dr. Ajit K. Sachdeva. The objective of this session is to use the expertise of our panelists to review some of the changes in the recruitment process in Academic Year 2022-2023. This will include issues such as signaling, 2-stage application process, use of letters of recommendation, among other changes.

This Grand Rounds is a continuation of the discussion from the September 28 Grand Rounds on Virtual Interviews in the Recruitment of Surgical Learners (recording available on the Academy’s webpage). However, this webinar is a stand-alone program and viewing the September Grand Rounds is not a prerequisite for attending this event.

Participation in the Academy Virtual Grand Rounds is designated for 1 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™.
