Based on an attendee’s participation, the 2026 Quality, Safety & Cancer Conference is offering:

Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the learner to earn credit toward the CME requirements of the American Board of Surgery's Continuous Certification program and the Patient Safety and Lifelong CME components of the American Board of Anesthesiology's MOCA 2.0^®.

The 2026 QSCC is also offering:

• CE Credit
  The American College of Surgeons has been approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider #CEP 17134, for a maximum of 22.25 Contact Hours

• NCRA continuing education credit
  The National Cancer Registrars Association supports the "Quality, Safety & Cancer Conference" program for 4 CEIP hours, of which 0 hours meet the Category A requirement. This program has been assigned the following event number: 2026-149IP. 
  
• Certificate of Completion

Learners can claim credit at the QSCC credit claiming site, accessed through the mobile app. Completion of session and global evaluations is required, and evaluations may be submitted only once. Therefore, attendees should not begin evaluations until they have completed their participation in the certified content for which they wish to claim credit.

The deadline to claim Continuing Education credits or Certificate of Completion credit hours is 11:59 pm CT on October 2, 2026.

Conference Objectives

The ACS Quality, Safety & Cancer Conference strives to:

PROVIDE a professional forum to discuss and apply the most recent knowledge pertaining to national, international, and local quality and safety initiatives in the field of surgery.

PRESENT methods used to analyze data from ACS Quality Programs and demonstrate practical ways to use the data for quality improvement.

ASSIST hospitals and providers in managing, analyzing, and interpreting data by providing education on proven methods that will empower hospitals and centers to make a positive impact at their facilities.

ENHANCE the learning experience by offering breakout sessions that educate attendees on the topic areas of their choice and with consideration of their level of programmatic experience.

Important Update for CME Learners

Learners who wish to claim CME credit must submit an ACS ID via the QSCC credit claiming site. If you do not already have an ACS profile (Learner ID), you can create one through the ACS New User Registration Form. This is a free offering for those who have enrolled in an ACS-accredited educational activity. The ACS ID will grant you access to MyCME where you can track, manage, and send your CME data to the ABS.

Diplomates of the American Board of Surgery

By participating in an ACS-accredited activity, you may choose to participate in the automatic transfer of your CME credits to the ABS via the ACCME. The direct automatic transfer applies to all learners who have an ACS profile, are Diplomates of the ABS, and have provided their ABS ID and date of birth in the ACS MyCME Portal on the Board Certification page. 

Opt In to Automatically Send Your CME Data to the ABS

The direct automatic transfer applies to all learners who have an ACS profile, are Diplomates of the ABS, and have provided their ABS ID and date of birth in the ACS MyCME Portal on the Board Certification page.

Step-by-Step Instructions to Access MyCME and Opt in to Transmit Your CME Data

1. Log in to your MyCME Portal
2. Select the Board Certification tab
3. Enter the American Board of Surgery
4. Enter your ABS ID
5. Enter your Day and Month of birth
6. Next go to the Send CME Data tab
7. Toggle to Opt In (green) “Yes! I choose to opt in and permit the ACS to automatically transfer all my ACS-accredited CME data to my chosen specialty board earned March 1, 2021, and forward.”  

Please note if you have previously successfully transmitted your ACS-accredited CME credits to the ABS via ACCME, then you can skip steps 2-6, and go directly to the Send CME Data tab, and Toggle to Opt In (green).

Once you have opted to automatically transfer your CME credits to the ABS, please allow 24 hours for the credit to appear in your ABS CME Repository. You may opt out at any time.

CME Credits for ABA Members

Attendees of the 2026 Quality, Safety & Cancer Conference who are certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA) may have their CME data electronically transmitted to the ABA via ACCME. To do this, you will need to provide your board certification number from the ABA to the ACS for the electronic transfer of your CME data. You will provide your ABA ID on your Session Evaluation form during the credit claiming process. If you require assistance locating your board certification number, please call ABA at (866) 999-7501 or email cme@theaba.org.

This activity offers up to 22.25 CME credits, of which 14 credits contribute to the patient safety credits CME component of the American Board of Anesthesiology’s redesigned Maintenance of Certification in Anesthesiology^TM (MOCA^®) program, known as MOCA 2.0^®. Please consult the ABA website, the ABA website for a list of all MOCA 2.0 requirements.
