If you are bringing family members with you to Clinical Congress, the ACS has family-friendly programs to help enhance your experience. These programs include:
Camp ACS will be available for children ages 6 months to 17 years. The location will be hosted at one of the ACS hotels near the convention center. Once registered, location details will be shared. Daily activities include arts and crafts, entertainment, and interactive games. Camp ACS will be available Saturday, September 26–Monday, September 28, 7:30 am–10:00 pm, and Tuesday, September 29, 7:30 am–4:00 pm.
Registration will open soon.
Little Medical School is an educational enrichment program prepared by board-certified physicians and educators that allows children the opportunity to explore the world of medicine, science, and health in an engaging and fun way. Available for children ages 4–10 years, this optional programming is offered as an add-on to Camp ACS. The program will be held at an ACS hotel near the convention center. Once registered, location details will be shared. Little Medical School will be available on Sunday, September 27, 9:00 am–12:00 pm, and is supervised by a licensed childcare provider.
Registration will open soon.
A lactation room will be available at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center during the meeting. The room location will be confirmed in onsite navigational materials.
At no time are children of any age permitted in the Exhibit Hall.
All Clinical Congress attendees and their families are invited to join us during our new Saturday evening The Capital Welcome Reception. This event will feature cuisine that highlights Washington’s global influences and regional traditions, along with a celebration of the House of Surgery. It’s a perfect opportunity for surgeons in all disciplines to come together, enjoy camaraderie, and celebrate surgical excellence.
If you require a visa to attend, the ACS will provide an official invitation letter to support your application. Based on current global visa wait times and depending on your country of residence, you may have to wait 6–9 months or more for an appointment. We recommend applying for your visa as early as possible to avoid delays.
Please note that most consulates and embassies, which fall under the US State Department, often do not consider attendance at a medical conference as a valid reason for requesting an expedited visa interview. For this reason, we are unable to contact embassies or consulates on your behalf. We strongly encourage you to begin your visa application process as soon as possible.
Please note that ACS will still have on-site registration, but will no longer accept cash or check payments. All payments for onsite or day of registration must be made with a credit or debit card. If you have any questions about the payment polices or registration, contact our registration team at clinconreg@facs.org.
A prayer room will be available at the convention center during the meeting and open during registration hours. The room location will be confirmed in onsite navigational materials.
