CME Credit Claiming FAQ

Credit claiming closes on February 23, 2026, at 1:00 pm CT.

How do I log into the Evaluation and Claiming site?

Select the log-in button in the top right corner of the Clinical Congress Virtual Platform and enter your email provided at time of registration (located under the barcode in your registration confirmation email) and your last name.

How do I access the Evaluation and Claiming area of the Clinical Congress 2025 Claiming site?

Go to the Claim Credit tab for evaluation, claiming, and accessing certificates . You will find step-by-step evaluation and claiming instructions at the top of the page.

Who is eligible to claim Clinical Congress 2025 Continuing Medical Education (CME) Credit?

Physicians are eligible to claim Clinical Congress 2025 CME Credit. Residents, Allied Health Professionals, and Nurses are eligible to receive a Certificate of Completion and may evaluate sessions to receive a transcript of sessions and hours completed.

What types of continuing medical education (CME) credits are available?

The American College of Surgeons is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Can I claim credit for overlapping sessions?

Yes, because you may view sessions on demand after they have aired, you may claim credits for sessions that aired concurrently during the in-person meeting.

How many CME/hours are available per session?

Each non-ticketed Clinical Congress 2025 session offers between 0.5 and 2.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™, with many sessions offering 1 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™. Clinical Congress 2025 Didactic and Surgical Skills courses require separate registration and offer between 4 to 8 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Attendees should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in each session. Partial credit may be claimed in .25 increments.

Does Clinical Congress 2025 include sessions designated as offering credit to address regulatory mandates?

Yes, Clinical Congress 2025 sessions that may meet state licensing board content-specific requirements have been designated as offering Credit to Address Regulatory Mandates. You may use the State Regulatory Mandate Content search option on the left side of the page in the Education Program tab to search by content area. To learn about your state-specific requirements, visit CME State Regulatory Mandates on facs.org. Please note that it is the responsibility of the physician to confirm with their state licensing board if a session in fact meets educational requirements.

Does Clinical Congress 2025 include sessions designated as offering credit to ACS accreditation/verification requirements?

Yes, you may identify Clinical Congress 2025 sessions designated as offering credit to address ACS Accreditation/Verification requirements. These may meet educational requirements of providers from hospitals that participate in the ACS Accreditation or Verification Programs. You may use the ACS Accreditation Verification Program search option on the left side of the page in the Education Program tab to search by content area.

How do I add sessions to my Credit Cart?

Navigate to the Education Program tab and select your course. Click on the View Session link. Once the session is open, click on Add to Credit Cart. Your session will now appear in your credit cart. Please note for virtual registrants or in person registrants wanting to access recorded content, those sessions may only be viewed once they are scheduled to air or an hour after as an on-demand recording.

How do I build a playlist?

Once you log in to the platform, you can build your playlist from the Education Program tab. Select your course of interest and click the Add to Playlist link. You can view your full playlist in the Playlist tab at the top of the conference platform.

How can I claim CME credit or hours of participation for a session?

Once you have added the sessions you participated in into your Credit Cart, click on the Credit Cart tab.

Required: Complete session evaluation found to the right of each session in your Credit Cart or use the Remove link to remove session from Credit Cart.

Optional: Choose Credit to Address (i.e., Ethics, Opioid/Pain Management, Cancer) from drop-down menu if available. 

Optional: Didactic and Surgical Skills courses offer self-assessment credit; the post-test can be accessed in the Credit Cart once the session has ended. You can navigate to the session of interest in the Education Program and the post-test link is available at the top of the page. Learners must pass the post-test with a 75% or greater to earn self-assessment credit and can retake the test as many times as necessary to do so.

Required: Complete Global Evaluation which can be found on the right side of the Credit Cart.

Required: Click on Save Progress/Access CME Certificate link or Save Progress/Access Completion Certificate (hours) on the right side of the Credit Cart.

Can I claim partial credit for a session?

Yes, partial credit for a session may be claimed in increments of .25. Use the slider tool or up/down arrows in the credit field to the right of the session title in your Credit Cart.

How can I claim credit to address regulatory mandates or accreditation/verification requirements?

You will see a drop-down menu to the right of the sessions offering Credit to Address in your Credit Cart. Use the drop-down menu to select one Credit to Address content area per applicable session. The selected Credit to Address content area will be included in your transcript.

Does Clinical Congress 2025 offer self-assessment credit?

Self-assessment credit is available through didactic and Surgical Skills courses only.

To print or save your Certificate of Completion or CME Certificate:

Required: Complete Global Evaluation which can be found on the right side of the Credit Cart tab.

Required: Click on Save Progress/Access CME Certificate link or Save Progress/Access Completion Certificate (hours) on the right side of the Credit Cart.

Optional: You can then download or email to any email address each of the certificates.

To claim hours of participation and receive a transcript of the sessions you attended:

Required: Add sessions you attended to your Credit Cart.

Required: Complete evaluation found to the right of each session in your Credit Cart or use the Remove link to remove session from Credit Cart.

Optional: Choose Credit to Address (i.e., Ethics, Opioid/Pain Management, Cancer) from drop-down menu if available.

Required: Complete Global Evaluation which can be found on the right side of the Credit Cart.

Required: Click on Save Progress/Access CME Certificate link or Save Progress/Access Completion Certificate (hours) on the right side of the Credit Cart.

How do I access my CME Certificate and transcript?

You may save your CME Certificate from the Claim Credit tab or email it to any address provided.

Clinical Congress 2025 CME data will be transmitted to members’ ACS MyCME account once claiming is complete. Once you have completed all claiming requirements, your CME Certificate and transcript from the Clinical Congress meeting can then be accessed by ACS members through the MyCME Transcript.

I am not a member, can I use MyCME to access my CME Certificate and transcript?

MyCME is available to attendees that are not a member of the College but have an ACS account.

Do not have an ACS account? Go to New User Registration to create an account now!

Can I save my completed session evaluations in the system and return to the site to continue later?

Yes, your completed session evaluations will be saved in your Credit Cart.

May I continue the evaluation and claiming process after I have completed the Global Evaluation?

Yes, you may complete additional session evaluations and claim CME for additional sessions following completion of the Global Evaluation.

If I have evaluation and claiming questions, who do I contact?
