Join Us Tonight at Windy City Welcome Reception

Chicago is a significant cultural influence for the world and surgery. It is home to the ACS, the largest city to host Clinical Congress, and the first place where Clinical Congress was convened.

In honor of the “Windy City” and the beginning of Clinical Congress 2025, all attendees are invited to celebrate Chicago and enjoy camaraderie at tonight’s Windy City Welcome Reception, 7:00–9:00 pm in the Grand Horizon Ballroom of the Marriott Marquis Chicago.

This event, which combines the President’s Reception and Taste of the City, previously held on Saturday and Tuesday, respectively, will blend Chicago’s renowned cuisine, vibrant culture, and stunning skyline with a celebration of The House of Surgery^®. 

Chicago is well-known for its food, and you’ll find some unique contributions to the national palate with a variety of small bites, including deep dish pizza, Chicago style hot dogs, and Italian beef. Other options will include chicken and fish, and dishes suitable for vegetarians, vegans, and those with gluten intolerance will be available. 

The city is renowned for its world-class architecture and landmarks, so keep your camera ready for photo opportunities during the reception.

The tastes and sights of Chicago aren’t all the Windy City Reception has to offer—local DJ Hannah Heavin will keep the crowd energized, and life-size Jenga, Tetris, stilt walkers, caricature artists, and tarot card readers will be available for all to enjoy.

The event is family-friendly, and all attendees and family members are welcome.
