Faculty Guidelines

The Speaker Management Portal will open in mid-December. Each speaker will need to review, update, and sign the speaker disclosure statement and media rights agreement before they will have access to complete any other speaker tasks.

Slide presentations should be uploaded to the Speaker Management Portal. The deadline to upload slide presentations is January 31, 2024. Last minute changes to presentations can be uploaded to the portal in the speaker ready room upon your arrival in Austin.

Each event has a slide template, QI Workshop, NAPBC Workshop, ACS Cancer Conference. Please use the template that corresponds with the event for which you have been invited to speak.

Please follow the content guidelines in each template for the information that should be included on theTitle slide - slide 1, Disclosures - slide 2, Key Takeaways – next to last slide, and Thank You – last slide. Several blank versions of the content slides are included in each presentation. Please add more of the content slides as needed to complete your presentation.

If you will be using slides that have already been created and need assistance converting these to the conference or workshop(s) template, please contact the Cancer Programs Education Team at cancerprogramsevents@facs.org so that we can assist you.

The Education Team will create a basic set of moderator slides for each session. The basic set will include three slides:

  • Slide 1 - Session name, moderator name, credentials, facility, city and state.
  • Slide 2 – Disclosure slide (Moderator to add their disclosures)
  • Slide 3 – Name, credentials, facility, city and state for each speaker.

Moderators are welcome to add other slides to the presentation to address their content.

Please follow the naming convention outlined below to name each PowerPoint presentation. This will help the AV staff to match the presenter with the correct session. The agenda for each event will be posted on the Faculty Resources page.

Naming convention: Last Name, First Name, Full name of the presentation as it appears on the agenda

Example:

Making the Most of CoC Accreditation

John Doe, MD, FACS, Chicago, IL

For this presentation, the PowerPoint file would be named: Doe John Making the Most of CoC Accreditation
