American College Of Surgeons - Inspiring Quality: Highest Standards, Better Outcomes

ACS/ASE Medical Student Core Curriculum - Phase 1

The ACS/ASE Medical Student Core Curriculum is now available with the first of several modules. Its content addresses the competency-based surgical cognitive skills needed by all medical students prior to graduation. The curriculum is accessible online and designed for use by medical students, medical school faculty, and clinical faculty. The project has been led by Marc A. de Moya, MD, FACS, and Ranjan Sudan, MD, FACS, under the aegis of the American College of Surgeons (ACS) Division of Education, and has incorporated the contributions of multiple surgeon educators throughout the U.S.
