History
The Wound Management Home Skills Program will help you learn and practice the skills needed for optimal wound healing. The program includes care and skill instruction for complex lacerations, abrasions, postoperative surgical wounds, and non-healing wounds.
This standardized interactive program has been developed by a multidisciplinary program of the American College of Surgeons (ACS) Division of Education in collaboration with the American Burn Association, American College of Wound Healing & Tissue Repair, The American Society of Plastic Surgery, Wound Healing Society, Wound Ostomy and Continence Nurses Society (WOCN), and the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN). The Wound Home Management Skills Kit has been funded in part by grants from Smith & Nephew, Acelity and Ethicon.
