ACS Core General Surgery Review for Residents

The ACS Core General Surgery Review for Residents is being re-developed in an alternative format and will be available for future use. This engaging course is specifically for residents interested in an intense review of general surgery and may also be beneficial for those preparing for general surgery-qualifying or other examinations, as well as for those transitioning to general surgery practice or advanced training.

Course Content

The course may be used to identify strengths and areas for additional study in the essential content areas of general surgery, including:

  • Alimentary tract
  • Endocrine and soft tissue
  • Oncology
  • Skin and breast
  • Surgical critical care
  • Trauma
  • Vascular
  • Perioperative care
  • Special topics (transplantation, geriatric care, medical ethics, and biostatistics)
