Medicare Advantage and Part D Rules

Medicare Advantage (MA) and Prescription Drug (Part D) health plans are offered by private insurance companies that contract with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to provide additional benefits for Medicare beneficiaries. These companies must follow coverage and payment rules set by CMS, which are updated annually.
