Tanaz Ferzandi, MD, MBA, FACS

Dr. Tanaz Ferzandi, MD, MBA, MA, is the director of Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery, associate professor of surgery, and associate fellowship director for Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery at Keck School of Medicine of USC. In addition, she is the service line chief of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Keck Hospital of USC and was elected to serve as the secretary and treasurer of the Keck Hospital Medical Executive Staff.

Previously, Dr. Ferzandi developed the Division of Urogynecology at Tufts Medical Center and served on various boards, including the Quality Board, the Operating Room Governing Board, and was elected president of the medical staff. Dr. Ferzandi is the current president of the American Urogynecologic Society. Dr. Ferzandi is a past member of the American College of Surgeons’ Women in Surgery Committee and the ACS Health Policy Advisory Council. She is a current member of the ACS Advisory Council for Gynecology and Obstetrics.

Dr. Ferzandi is committed to quality assurance, passionate about education and training the next generation of gynecologists and urogynecologists, and received the prestigious 2024 USC Choi Family Awards for Excellence in Patient-Centered Care, which is awarded to one physician in the health system.

Dr. Ferzandi earned her MD and an MA in cell biology at the University of Kansas Medical Center, completed residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and a fellowship in Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery at Harvard University. Dr. Ferzandi received her MBA from the Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University.

Cherisse Berry, MD, FACS

Dr. Cherisse Berry is the vice chair of Academic Affairs and a professor of surgery at Rutgers Health, New Jersey Medical School, Department of Surgery, Division of Trauma and Surgical Critical Care, and the director of Research for the Eric Munoz Trauma Center at University Hospital in Newark, NJ. Previously, Dr. Berry was an associate professor of surgery at New York University Grossman School of Medicine and Division Chief of Acute Care Surgery and Medical Director of the Inpatient Surgery Unit for NYU Langone Health, and the Associate Trauma Medical Director at NYC Health & Hospitals Bellevue.

She is a reviewer for the Surgery, Anesthesiology, and Trauma (SAT) NIH Study Section and is an R01 NIH-funded investigator with over 100 peer-reviewed published manuscripts/book chapters/editorials/commentaries. She has held numerous national leadership roles including Vice Chair, Secretary, Diversity Pillar Lead, and Education Pillar Lead of the American College of Surgeons Board of Governors Executive Committee, Chair of the American Association for the Surgery of Trauma DEI Committee, Chair of the Women in Surgery Committee for the Society of Black Academic Surgeons, Chair of the Young Surgeons Committee for the Western Surgical Association, Surgical Critical Care Certification Examination Consultant and Examiner for the ABS Certifying Exam and is a Fellow of the American Surgical Association.

Dr. Berry holds an MS in biology from Harvard University and earned her MD from the University of Southern California, Keck School of Medicine. She completed residency at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA, and an Acute Care Fellowship and Trauma Research Fellowship at the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center/University of Maryland.

Nancy Gantt, MD, MAMSE, FACS

Dr. Nancy Gantt is a professor of surgery at Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED) and the Breast Program Director of the NAPBC-accredited Joanie Abdu Comprehensive Breast Care Center, Bon Secours Mercy Health, Youngstown, Ohio.

Professionally, she focuses on inclusive, interdisciplinary care of breast disease and surgical education. At Mercy St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital, she serves as associate director of Resident Education. Dr. Gantt is the First Vice-President of the American College of Surgeons (ACS) and serves on the ACS Board of Regents, Inclusive Excellence, Members Services Liaison, Research and Optimal Patient Care Committees, and the ACS Patient Education Committee. She served as Vice-Chair of the Executive Committee of the ACS Board of Governors and as the inaugural BOG Diversity Pillar Lead. She is the current Chair of the Association of Women Surgeons (AWS) Foundation and served as President of the AWS and the Ohio Chapter of the ACS.

Dr. Gantt is a Chicago native who earned her medical degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. She then completed an internship, research, and general surgery residency at the University of Pittsburgh Hospitals and Clinics.

Jennifer L. Rabaglia, MD, MSc, FACS,

Dr. Jennifer Rabaglia serves as the chief quality officer for the UCHealth system. In this role, she is charged with developing and implementing a system-wide quality program structure that provides strategic direction to enhance quality, improve outcomes, and advance the culture of safety across UCHealth’s 14 hospitals, 600+ ambulatory clinics, 5000+ physicians and advanced practice providers, and 33,000+ employees. The quality program drives improvement efforts with the ultimate goal of generating exceptional outcomes and experiences in a high-value, zero-harm environment.

Previously, Dr. Rabaglia served as the chief medical officer, Ambulatory Specialty Practice, at Froedtert and the Medical College of Wisconsin, where she led over 2000 physician specialists and advanced practice providers across both an academic faculty practice and a vast community footprint. Dr. Rabaglia also served as the chief quality and safety officer and associate chief medical officer for Parkland Health and Hospital System in Dallas Texas, a primary teaching site for UT Southwestern and one of the largest, highest volume safety-net health systems in the nation, where she was responsible for the construction, strategic direction and oversight of the quality and safety program across the system footprint.

Dr. Rabaglia grew up in the Denver area and graduated from the University of Colorado School of Medicine. She completed her surgical training, including a 2-year research fellowship and a clinical fellowship in endocrine surgery, at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School.
