The purpose of the committee is to oversee the ACS Mastery in General Surgery Program. The ACS Mastery in General Surgery Program was developed to provide graduating surgical residents with personalized mentorship in clinical settings to help in the launching of a successful career.

Activities

Activities of the committee include reviewing accreditation standards and elements of the Mastery Program. Committee members review and decide on applications for new sites and reaccreditation applications. Committee members conduct virtual site visits and participate in development and outreach activities that advance the goals and growth of the program.
