TQIP Peer Coaching Pilot

As a part of ongoing efforts to improve and expand resources for TQIP-participating centers, TQIP is launching a pilot for a peer coaching program. This new program aims to provide an additional resource to meet the needs of centers struggling to correct performance issues identified in the benchmark reports, particularly when those performance issues persist over time. Centers requesting such support will be matched with peer coaches from other TQIP centers that have demonstrated expertise in process improvement and, whenever possible, demonstrate good performance in the specific model and cohort in which coaching is requested. Over the course of this pilot, TQIP will collect general feedback, best practices, and lessons learned to determine the feasibility and scalability of an ongoing program to fulfill this goal.

The application process for coaches and for centers looking to be coached in this pilot was opened for Adult Level I and II Centers on November 3, 2021, and closed on December 1, 2021. All centers in the pilot will be expected to provide ongoing feedback, and may be asked to contribute to a compendium of performance improvement case studies, so that others may also learn from their experience. Please download the TQIP Coaching Guidelines below for additional information about what is expected from each center during the coaching pilot.
