Biography

Dr. Michetti is a general, trauma, and critical care surgeon, board certified in both general surgery and surgical critical care. He has special interest in the management of surgical patients who need complex postoperative care, particularly in the intensive care unit, complex abdominal wall hernias and abdominal wall reconstruction, abdominal surgery in general and organ donation. Dr. Michetti became interested in surgery because it enables him to take definitive action to help heal patients with major health problems that significantly affect their quality of life. His goal is to help his patients heal and recover mentally and physically so they can return to a more happy and healthy life. He is a past-president of the American Trauma Society and works with the ATS to help advance trauma prevention and trauma survivor care.
