American College Of Surgeons - Inspiring Quality: Highest Standards, Better Outcomes

SSR Users Updates: July 21, 2017

Dear SSR Participants,

We hope the most recent updates to the SSR are improving your experience with the new system. Please review the “SSR User Quick Guide” under the “Notifications” section of the registry to view all of the items included in the most recent release. Feel free to contact us with your feedback on these items.

Members of the test user group are currently reviewing data migration to ensure all migrated data is properly populating in the system before we migrate all surgeons’ data to the new system. Data migration will be an iterative process, and you will be notified when your data becomes available in the new platform. In the meantime, you may still view your historical SSR data in the previous platform.

The next SSR release is expected to take place in mid-August and in addition to data migration, it will include the addition of these items:

  • A “flex form” to capture extra case information, including procedure targeted variables
  • Save and duplicate option on the case form
  • Save and add new case option on the case form
  • Measures reports

We will provide more updates on these items and the release date in the near future.

Finally, if you are planning on attending the ACS Quality and Safety Conference at the New York Hilton Midtown in New York City July 21–24, please come and visit the SSR table for information on the new registry and how to use it for case logging, tracking outcomes, and participating in regulatory programs.

If you have questions, please reach out to us at ssr@facs.org or 312-202-5408.

Thank you,

Your SSR Team
