SSR Users Updates: June 30, 2017

Dear SSR Participants,

We are pleased to inform you that the next SSR release is currently scheduled for July 8, 2017, and is expected to include the following items:

  • Improvements to ICD and CPT® Code lookup functionality
  • Implementation of general surgery quality measures and Clinical Performance Improvement Activities (CPIA) measures for CMS Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS)
  • Addition of date/time case is created in case grid
  • Ability to hide/deactivate custom fields and custom field answer options
  • Ability to configure the order of custom fields on the case form
  • Ability to add/view comments to individual variables in the case form
  • Ability to reset password without contacting tech support by answering previously setup challenge questions
  • Ability to enter BMI directly without entering height and weight
  • Removal of BMI validation/limitation
  • Ability to add/view comments to individual variables on the case form
  • Availability of historical case form for cases prior to January 1, 2017
  • Addition of variables to case form
    • Preop risk factors
      • Hypertension requiring medication
      • Congestive heart failure
      • Current smoker
      • Diabetes mellitus
    • Operative time
    • Surgical assistant
    • Admission and discharge dates
    • Secondary procedure codes
    • Primary payor status
    • Postop diagnosis fields 

Please note these updates are still being tested and may be adjusted prior to the release. You will be notified next week of SSR downtime associated with this July 8 release.

In addition, data migration of historical SSR is also scheduled to begin on July 8. In order to ensure the integrity of data being migrated, migration will be done as an iterative process, and you will be informed when your migrated data are available. The entire data migration process for all SSR users is expected to take approximately one month.
