SSR Users Updates: June 23, 2017

Dear SSR Participant,

As referenced in last week’s communication, you can expect a number of SSR system enhancements in the next few months. The next release is currently being planned for mid-July and is expected to include the following items:

  • Improvements to ICD and CPT® Code lookup functionality
  • Implementation of general surgery quality measures for CMS Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS)
  • Addition of date/time case in case grid
  • Ability to hide/deactivate custom fields and custom field answer options
  • Ability to configure the order of custom fields on the case form
  • Ability to reset password without contacting tech support by answering previously setup challenge questions
  • Ability to enter BMI directly without entering height and weight
  • Ability to add/view comments to individual variables on the case form
  • Availability of historical case form for cases prior to January 1, 2017
  • Addition of variables to case form
    • Preop risk factors
      • Hypertension requiring medication
      • Congestive heart failure
      • Current smoker
      • Diabetes mellitus
    • Operative time
    • Admission and discharge dates
    • Secondary procedure codes
    • Primary payor status

Please note these updates are still being tested and may be adjusted prior to the release. You will be notified in advance of the date and times of SSR downtime associated with this upcoming SSR release as soon as that information is finalized.

In addition, data migration of historical SSR data is beginning in July. In order to ensure the integrity of data being migrated, migration will be done as an iterative process, and you will be informed when your migrated data are available.  We will provide more updates to data migration and additional system improvements in the near future.
