Teresa Heckel has more than 32 years of progressively responsible experience in the oncology field. Currently serving as the director of the national oncology service line for Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI), Ms. Heckel is responsible for the strategic development and implementation of cancer initiatives aimed at serving cancer patients treated at CHI facilities across the country. One of her major initiatives has been developing the strategic model for creating high-quality, comprehensive breast programs within CHI.

Ms. Heckel has presented at numerous national oncology forums including National Accreditation of Program for Breast Center (NAPBC) workshops and conferences, Sg2 Annual Cancer Insight conferences, the CHI National Oncology Service Line conference, the Association of Cancer Executives annual conference, the Lung Cancer Alliance Lung Screening Conference, and the National Consortium of Breast Center annual conference.

Ms. Heckel serves on boards of the Association of Cancer Executives, NAPBC, and the National Consortium of Breast Centers, where she co-chairs the Quality Committee.

Ms. Heckel holds degrees in radiologic technology, radiation therapy, a BS in business administration, and an MBA. She is a Fellow of the Leadership Academy of The Advisory Board Company.
