This document details the resource standards, quality improvement and safety processes, data collection, and verification process. The program is based upon the standards detailed here that define the resources believed necessary to achieve optimal patient outcomes for children’s surgical care regardless of location in a community hospital, stand-alone children’s hospital, specialty hospital, or children’s hospital within a hospital.
