Updates Planned for NAPRC Standards Manual and Portal

National Accreditation Program for Rectal CancerThe National Accreditation Program for Rectal Cancer (NAPRC) is pleased to announce that a republished standards manual will be released later this month. It will include updates to accreditation standards and a new format that aligns with the Commission on Cancer (CoC) and other American College of Surgeons accreditation and verification quality programs.

Additionally, the NAPRC will release an upgraded quality portal to manage all aspects of accreditation. This will replace the NAPRC section of CoC Datalinks.

Helpful resources will be included with the release of the republished manual and upgraded platform. These resources include, but are not limited to:

  • A webinar highlighting the changes to the standards manual and how to use the NAPRC Quality Portal
  • "How to" guides for navigating and using the NAPRC Quality Portal
  • A Frequently Asked Questions resource for the radiology and pathology focused NAPRC standards
  • A notable changes chart that highlights updates to each NAPRC standard in the republished manual
  • An outline of the documents that must be submitted with the Pre-Review Questionnaire (formally known as the "Survey Application Record") before the site visit
