American College Of Surgeons - Inspiring Quality: Highest Standards, Better Outcomes

Your Participation is Requested in the GW Cancer Center CoC COVID-19 Survey

A week ago, we alerted you to the GW Cancer Center Cancer Survivor and Provider Experiences with COVID-19 study. The study seeks to better understand cancer survivorship care provider and cancer survivor experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic. Please forward the email below to your institution’s Survivorship Coordinator.

Dear Survivorship Coordinator,

Researchers from the GW Cancer Center are conducting a study to better understand cancer survivorship care provider and cancer survivor experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic in order to better understand provider and survivor needs and inform care post-pandemic. The Commission on Cancer is collaborating on this study and requests your institution’s participation.

The GW Cancer Center wishes to recruit a diverse cancer survivor population to participate in the study. They are providing the survey in English, Spanish, French and Chinese to accommodate more patients. Please forward this invitation in an email or newsletter sent to your cancer survivor patients at your earliest convenience. The study link will only remain open for a limited time. The survey will take 20-30 minutes and respondents will be offered a $25 incentive for completion.

We are providing sample language to use in an email or newsletter announcement to make this as easy as possible for you. Thank you for your assistance as we seek to better understand the impact of COVID-19 on cancer survivorship care, health care utilization, and quality of life.

Please also take 5 minutes to complete the Cancer Survivorship Provider survey to share your experiences with cancer care during the pandemic. You will be offered a $50 incentive for your completion of the survey.
