2019 NCDB Call For Data

The National Cancer Database (NCDB) Call for Data window for submission and corrections opened April 1, 2019, and will close June 30, 2019. Submission requirements are found on the CoC webpage Information for Registrars. The NCDB Call for Data submission impacts eight (8) CoC standards, including but not limited to 4.3, 4.4, 4.5, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4, 5.5, and 5.6. Failure to submit the required cases during the open window may impact the program’s accreditation status and reporting of the NCDB tools (CP3R, CQIP, Benchmarks, and Survival). Hospitals will have until June 30th to submit any data with edit error corrections.

How to Know All Required Cases Are Submitted for 2019 NCDB Call for Data

To determine if all required cases are submitted for the 2019 NCDB Call for Data use the NCDB Call for Data Submission Count Tracking by Diagnosis year found on the CoC Information for Registrars webpage and the below sliding scale for evaluation.

The NCDB would like to take this opportunity to thank Theodore J. Williamson, MD, PhD, CTR; John Christodouleas, MD, MPH; and Wilson Apollo, MS, RTT, CTR, in the development and release of the CTR Guide to Coding Radiation Therapy Treatment in the STORE

Dr. Williamson will be presenting the keynote address, Evolution of Cancer and Cancer Care on Monday, May 20 at the National Cancer Registrars Association annual meeting in Denver, CO.

Mr. Apollo will be presenting Coding Radiation Therapy Treatment using the STORE Manual on Tuesday, May 21 at the NCRA annual meeting.
