Richard White, MD, FACS, is the chief of surgical oncology at Levine Cancer Institute and department of surgery and professor of surgery at Atrium Health in Charlotte, NC.

Dr. White believes that through their role, State Chairs are at the forefront of advancing systematic cancer care. The Commission on Cancer (CoC) provides the foundation.

“What better way to help cancer programs get better and better,” he said.

In his spare time, Dr. White enjoys travel, hiking, and golf.
