Two Opportunities to Showcase Your Cancer Program/Breast Center at the ACS Quality and Safety Conference

First Opportunity—Cancer Programs Call for Proposals

ACS Quality and Safety Conference Call for AbstractsParticipants in the Commission on Cancer (CoC), National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), and the National Accreditation for Rectal Cancer (NAPRC) programs can submit proposals for the American College of Surgeons (ACS) Cancer Programs sessions at the ACS Quality and Safety Conference. The 2021 ACS Quality and Safety Conference VIRTUAL will run from Monday, July 12 through Friday, July 16 and all ACS Cancer Programs sessions will be presented on Friday, July 16.

Submit a proposal today to share how you improved either cancer program performance or cared for patients with cancer in the following areas:

  • Measuring and Reducing Disparities in Cancer Care
  • Best Practices in Surgical Oncology
  • Hybrid Cancer Care
  • Incorporating Patient-Reported Outcomes into Quality Improvement
  • Successful Methods for Shifting from the Survivorship Care Plan to Providing Survivorship Services
  • Using Staging to Improve Outcomes

The deadline for submissions of cancer best practices has been extended to April 15, but no additional extensions to the call for topics is available.

Second Opportunity—Quality and Safety Conference Call for Abstracts

Have an important best practice or quality improvement on another topic to share? Then we invite you to respond to the ACS Quality and Safety Conference Call for Abstracts. The deadline for this call is April 30.

The abstract should relate to surgical quality improvement initiatives, including the development, implementation, or validation of best practices. We are also interested in operational best practices relating to workflows around collecting data and reporting. Abstracts should utilize data from one or more of the ACS Quality Programs.
