Prostate Cancer Awareness Month

September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month. Prostate Cancer is the second most common cancer among men, and one in nine men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer during his lifetime. Prostate cancer is a serious disease, but it is not fatal to most men who are diagnosed with it.

In an effort to support your outreach activities and to help you increase awareness of Prostate Cancer Awareness Month within your community the Commission on Cancer (CoC) has created posters and other resources for use by your CoC-accredited program.

Please share with us (coc@facs.org) information on the activities that your program conducted to observe this month.

Patient Brochures

The Commission on Cancer (CoC) Patient Education brochure have been developed to help you educate your patients on what accreditation means and why receiving care at an accredited program is important. This brochure is one way to reinforce to patients your program's commitment to providing the best in cancer and breast care.
