Visit ACS Theatre at Clinical Congress for Sessions on Important Topics and ACS Programs

The American College of Surgeons (ACS) will again host the ACS Theatre at Clinical Congress 2019 in San Francisco, CA. Located in ACS Central in the Moscone Exhibit Hall, the ACS Theatre offers sessions on special topics and ACS programs through lunch sessions and other programming.

The lunch sessions are as follows:

  • Financial Pressures Facing Surgeons: ACS Response
    1:15 pm Monday, October 28

    The ACS Division of Advocacy and Health Policy team advocates for surgeons at the federal and state level to address significant financial issues, including prior authorization, insurance contracts and network restrictions, declining Medicare and Medicaid payments, and will discuss efforts to ease these pressures.
  • SESAP 17: Author Q&A
    11:45 am Tuesday, October 29

    The newest edition of the Surgical Education and Self-Assessment Program SESAP® 17, is being unveiled at Clinical Congress. This session will explain how SESAP 17 can meet your educational needs and include discussion of the new edition with three surgeons who helped create the program content.
  • Global Health Initiatives through Operation Giving Back

    Operation Giving Back (OGB), the College’s volunteerism arm, wants to engage members in an effort to address critical public health issues related to access to basic surgical care both domestically and abroad. Sit in on this session to learn about current OGB efforts, get an update on the Hawassa project, and discover how you can help support humanitarian efforts.
