Call for RAS-JACS Journal Club Reviewers

Are you interested in staying up to date on current literature and getting more involved in the RAS Community? If so, we are looking for individuals who are interested in becoming a RAS Journal Club Reviewer. As an overview, reviewers are contacted every six months for article selection. This involves reading through all of the abstracts from the previous six months of JACS and voting on your top choices. The top 12 articles (based on the total number of votes from all of the reviewers) will be posted on the RAS Facebook page, where the entire RAS community will select the winning article that will be the discussed in the RAS-JACS Journal Club.

Reviewers will also have the opportunity to help generate discussion topics for journal clubs and moderate discussion days on Facebook and Twitter, which occur five times a year.

Reviewers are required to commit to a two-year position starting at the end of this year’s ACS Clinical Congress (October 26, 2017–October 26, 2019) which includes the minimum participation of article selection twice a year.  Reviewers that are active in the journal club will also have the opportunity to be nominated to become a RAS liaison to the JACS editorial board.
