American College Of Surgeons - Inspiring Quality: Highest Standards, Better Outcomes

2017 Call for ACS AEI Standing Committee Nominations

American College of Surgeons-Accredited Education Institutes (ACS-AEI) committee membership is a great opportunity to engage with other AEIs and be an advocate for the surgical simulation education and training agenda. ACS-AEI committee membership is voluntary, and the Standing Committees do the work of the Consortium, offering member benefits to the AEIs via products and services to enhance the centers’ capabilities.

There are two in-person committee meetings each calendar year. One is affiliated with the PG Course and the other with the Annual Conference. ACS-AEI committee members are required to attend one in-person committee meeting each year. The work of the committee will be conducted between these two meetings through regular conference calls and e-mail communication. An ACS-AEI committee term is for two years, with the possibility of reappointment. ACS-AEI members are nominated to a Standing Committee through Consortium leadership, by self-nomination, or by another AEI member. The Consortium leadership has the final approval of all committee candidates.

The committee booklet gives a general overview of the current activities of the ACS-AEI committees.
