Nurses in Surgical Education (NiSE):

  • Work in conjunction with the institution’s department of surgery
  • Teach core skills to medical and postgraduate students
  • Create and run simulation training events, OSCEs, OSATs, and assessment programs
  • Participate in research projects
  • Gather, store, and synthesize varied data
  • Run wellness activities and provide emotional support
  • Support EPAs and milestones through development, design, and implementation of medical student and postgraduate curriculum
  • Bring hands-on operating room and patient care experience to the learning environment
