ACS-AEI Unveils New Abstract Submission Site for the 2018 Annual ACS Surgical Simulation Summit

Surgical Simulation Summit

We are pleased to present a new Consortium abstract submission site for the Annual ACS Surgical Simulation Summit: An International Multi-Professional Meeting, March 16–17, 2018, at the Swissôtel in Chicago, IL. The new abstract site will be aligned with the manuscript review site, which will provide better data management and an easier review process for Consortium research.

The ACS-AEI Call for Abstracts highlights the best simulation education and training research in the field, and anyone involved in simulation-based education or surgical simulation-based training is invited to submit an abstract. The deadline to submit an abstract is Monday, November 6, 2017, at 11:59 pm (CST).

Submit an abstract

This year, there are opportunities to present original papers, poster presentations, and innovative techniques, a new abstract category being introduced for the 2018 meeting. This category targets descriptions of innovative simulators, curricula, and technology for teaching and assessment. Works in progress or those abstracts without significant outcomes data will also be considered.

The Program Review Committee reviews all submitted abstracts and makes decisions regarding their selection for podium, innovative, or poster presentations. All annual meeting abstract submissions must be from original research, not previously published or presented. It also is expected that all work submitted and accepted will be presented at this annual meeting. The Program Review Committee will notify all first-named authors of its decisions by January 12, 2018.
