2021 Leadership & Advocacy Summit Registration Is Now Open!

Register now for the Leadership & Advocacy Summit 2021The virtual ACS Leadership & Advocacy Summit, May 15–17, 2021, is a dual meeting offering comprehensive and specialized sessions that provide ACS members, leaders, and advocates with the skills and tools necessary to be effective surgeon leaders. The Summit will be held virtually this year, enabling a larger audience to participate in this engaging and timely event—and registration is now open!

Leadership Summit

The Leadership Summit showcases compelling speakers addressing key topics in surgical leadership. During the Leadership Summit, attendees will learn new and innovative ways to face challenges and enhance their leadership skills, both in and out of the operating room. The Leadership Summit will be held 10:00 am–2:30 pm CT Saturday, May 15.

Advocacy Summit

The Advocacy Summit will offer attendees the unique opportunity to gain insight and additional tools needed to become more knowledgeable and effective advocates for surgery. The Advocacy Summit will highlight legislative priorities the College is pursuing on your behalf. Attendees will hear presentations to aid in developing their advocacy skills, learn about legislative and health policy priorities, and participate in virtual advocacy meetings with members of Congress and their staff. The Advocacy Summit will be held 10:00 am–4:00 pm CT Sunday, May 16, and the virtual congressional visits will take place 8:00 am–3:30 pm CT Monday, May 17.

Donate to FTL100 Campaign to Celebrate the Committee on Trauma's Centennial

FTL100: Future Trauma LeadersThe ACS Committee on Trauma will be celebrating its centennial anniversary in 2022, and you can be a part of commemorating this milestone in trauma quality by donating to the FTL100 Campaign. The centennial is made possible by gifts great and small by so many, and the COT is taking this opportunity to honor you. Donors to the campaign will be commemorated in the upcoming Committee on Trauma 100th Anniversary commemorative book, Looking to the Future through the Lens of Legacy. Those who give $2,022 or more will be honored in the commemorative book.

During the two-year mentored program, Future Trauma Leaders collaborate on active COT projects, learn valuable skills through the ACS Leadership and Advocacy Summit, and develop relationships that support their career development. Their participation in the program has far-reaching, long-lasting effects.

The FTL100 Campaign supports mentorship activities that further the identification and development of surgeons with an interest in the practice of trauma surgery through the Trauma Mentoring Fund.
