Philosophy of patient care. The decision to have spine surgery is one of the most important decisions an individual can make for their health and well-being. The treatment of neck and low back pain, exceedingly common musculoskeletal problems, often requires no more than some rest, over the counter medications, and directed physical therapy. Problems involving gait & balance, fine motor function of the hands or fingers, weakness, pain in the arms or legs, incapacitating low back or neck pain may be signs of more significant spinal problems.
