Active Duty Minimally Invasive Gastrointestinal and Abdominal Wall Reconstruction Surgeon. Attended medical school at UMKC in Kansas City, MO, residency at WRNMMC in Bethesda, MD, fellowship at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC. Faculty for the residency program at WRNMMC and Assistant Professor for the Department of Surgery at WRNMMC &USUHS as well as an Adjunct Professor at Carolinas Medical Center. Currently serving as Chief of General Surgery. Interests and previous publications in surgical education, simulation, robotic surgery, foregut, solid organ, abdominal wall reconstruction, innovation in technology for creation and now production of endoscopy simulator, development of a preoperative algorithm for elective non-cardiac surgery in the form of a mobile application, as well as previous and continued research interests in these fields. On national society committees including Robotics, Membership, Diversity, and Telementoring. Married for 16 years with three children age 7, 4, and 6 months.
