Dr. Clifford Jones is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon and fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon from Harborview Medical Center. Dr. Jones has strong affiliation with the Orthopaedic Trauma Association (OTA) and Major Extremity Trauma Research Consortium (METRC), he participates in ongoing trauma updates, multi-center studies, and grants from prestigious organizations like the Department of Defense (DOD). These studies allow for translation of the wounded warriors to the civilian wounded. The outcomes will help direct care of severely injured persons. He also participates in multi-center studies with grants from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) concerning hip fractures treatments, outcomes, and protocols. He has also initiated prospective randomized control trials concerning shoulder (scapula) and midfoot (Lisfranc) injuries. The outcomes of this research have helped advance and efficiently direct care of these patients. He has provided surgical care for wounded U.S. soldiers as a volunteer surgeon at the Army's Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany and is a sought-after researcher, professor, and lecturer whose research and book chapters have been nationally recognized in peer-reviewed, high-impact medical journals. He is currently Professor and Chairman of Orthopaedic Surgery and Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Creighton Medical School, Phoenix and Dignity Health Arizona. He is member of the AAOS Education Committee and Patient Reported Outcomes (PROMs).
