AAMC Medical Education Meeting

November 6–7, 2014

Professionals from all fields in medical education attended the inaugural Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) Medical Education Meeting. Through this national scholarly forum, educators, thought leaders, students, and others from across disciplines within medical education presented the latest advancements in the field, gained practical skills, and made valuable connections to increase the quality of education at their institutions. There were presentations in research in medical education and interactive sessions showcasing innovations in medical education.

Deans, CEOs, faculty members, administrators, residents, students, and other medical school and teaching hospital stakeholders met to discuss the change that is needed to improve the health of all.

Chair's Address:  "Courage," A. Lorris Betz, MD, PhD, Senior Vice President Emeritus of Health Sciences, University of Utah

Diana Lee Farmer, MD, FACS, FRCS, represented the Council of Faculty and Academic Societies at this meeting. She was able to communicate that surgical chairs are highly committed to medical education.
