Upon his return, he was appointed to the role of trauma medical director and successfully elevated the trauma program to Level I status. In 2015, he was named the program director of the general surgery residency program and is working to grow the newly developed Clinical Research Institute at Methodist. In his spare time, he serves as the IRB Chairman, surgical director of the Center for Simulation and Wellness, and clinical research fellowship director.
