The Advisory Council for Cardiothoracic Surgery serves as a liaison in the communication of information to and from the cardiothoracic surgery societies and the ACS Board of Regents. In addition, it advises the Board of Regents on policy matters and policy formations relating to cardiothoracic surgery.
