Selected Readings in General Surgery

Selected Readings in General Surgery (SRGS), a critical review of organ- and disease-specific literature, aims to foster lifelong learning and improve patient outcomes. To accomplish this goal, we review hundreds of articles and place them in the context of the day-to-day clinical practice of general surgeons. Specialties like pediatrics, trauma, critical care, and vascular surgery are also covered. In certain formats, cited articles are reprinted for further study. Practicing surgeons can earn CME credit for completing the self-assessment test in each edition. Annual print, online, and print-plus-online subscriptions are available to ACS members at a discounted price.
