CHICAGO: The 2018 Clinical Congress of the American College of Surgeons (ACS)—one of the largest educational meetings of surgeons in the world—will convene October 21-25 in Boston, Mass. This year is the first time since 1950 that Boston will host the Clinical Congress. The Boston Convention and Exhibition Center will house the scientific sessions, courses, and all scientific and technical exhibits, and the Westin Boston Waterfront will serve as headquarters hotel for the meeting.
This year’s conference theme is the “Joy and Privilege of a Surgical Career.” The program features more than 100 panel sessions; postgraduate didactic and skills-oriented courses; meet the expert sessions; named lectures; scientific forum sessions highlighting hundreds of research-in-progress reports and e-poster presentations; video-based education sessions; and town hall meetings. More than 200 companies will also be on site displaying products and services that improve the quality of surgical care or enhance surgical management practices.
Program highlights include panel sessions on cutting edge topics such as:
