2022 Surgeons and Engineers Meeting: Save the Date and Submit Your Abstracts

Surgeons and Engineers: A Dialogue on Surgical Simulation will return in 2022 as a full-day meeting on Wednesday, March 2, 2022. The meeting will serve as a venue for surgeons, engineers, scientists, and Annual ACS Surgical Simulation Summit attendees to continue the dialogue between the medical simulation and engineering communities. The Annual ACS Surgical Simulation Summit will directly follow on Thursday, March 3 through Saturday, March 5 in Chicago, IL. Registration will open in late fall 2021.

Call for Abstracts

The abstract submission site is currently open, and you are invited to submit abstracts for presentation at the meeting. Both original and previously presented abstracts are welcome. The abstract categories include research, research in progress, challenges in technology-enhanced surgical education, and promoting technology and collaboration. The abstract submission deadline is 11:59 pm (CDT) Wednesday, September 15. Authors are encouraged to submit one or more abstracts. All abstracts will be peer reviewed by the ACS Division of Education Surgeons and Engineers Committee, and acceptance will be determined based on content, relevance, and encouragement of collaboration. Abstracts received by the deadline will be considered for presentation at the podium or as a poster presentation. Authors of accepted abstracts will be notified by November 15.
