The Annual ACS Surgeons and Engineers: A Dialogue on Surgical Simulation meeting will return as a virtual full-day meeting on Wednesday, March 2, 2021. The speakers will present live on the virtual platform. The meeting will begin at 9:00 am and end at 4:45 pm CT.
The meeting serves as a venue for surgeons, engineers, educators, scientists, and Annual ACS Surgical Simulation Summit attendees to continue the dialogue between the medical simulation and engineering communities. The theme of the 2022 meeting is successful collaboration between surgeons and engineers. Dr. Thomas Krummel, MD, at Stanford University, is the keynote speaker. During a special panel, surgeons and engineers will share their experience in establishing successful collaborative relationships. In addition to the oral and poster presentations, two parallel interactive discussion sessions, which will be open to all meeting participants, are intended to address the current status of ergonomics in surgery and the industry perspective of the future of simulation education.
Through this exchange, we endeavor to promote future collaboration between the surgical and engineering communities.
