CSSP Highlights Resources for CoC Standard 5.7: Total Mesorectal Excision

The Cancer Surgery Standards Program (CSSP) has developed a multitude of resources for the implementation of CoC Standards 5.3-5.8 housed in the Operative Standards Toolkit. This week, we're highlighting the resources available for CoC Standard 5.7: Total Mesorectal Excision. This section of the toolkit includes brief videos and webinars for best practices, visual abstracts for easy reference, guidelines for registrars to easily identify eligible cases, an editorial published in the Journal of the American College of Surgeons, and a variety of other resources.

The Operative Standards Toolkit is frequently updated and available to all. We encourage everyone to reference these tools and share Toolkit resources with surgeons and staff at their cancer programs. Please let us know if there are any questions or suggestions for additional resources by emailing cssp@facs.org
