April Webinar to Review Just ASK Study

Join the Just ASK study webinar scheduled for 12:00 noon on April 1.

This national Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA) quality improvement project and clinical study is focused on strengthening evidence-based care across participating programs by leveraging existing resources to address smoking by asking all newly diagnosed cancer patients about their smoking status. Hear Cancer Programs leaders Timothy Mullett, MD, MBA, FACS; Laurie Kirstein, MD, FACS; Erin Reuter, JD; Connie Bura; and Lisa Allison, BSN, RN, MS, provide an overview of the study, walk through the REDCap forms, and address frequently asked questions and their answers.

The quality measure portfolio of the Commission on Cancer has been undergoing renovation, and a number of changes have taken place. The objective of this webinar is to discuss which measures have been added and which measures will be phased out. We will also briefly discuss how the changes will impact accreditation. Early-Bird Registration Now Available for ACS Cancer Accreditation Programs Conference

Review the agenda and register to participate in either the in-person or virtual ACS Cancer Accreditation Programs Conference: Continually Advancing Quality Cancer Care. The conference will address the CoC and National Accreditation Program for Rectal Cancer (NAPRC) accreditation standards, including best practice presenters from both programs, as well as provide a preview of the new NAPBC standards.

The in-person conference will be held on May 20–22 in Denver, CO. Remember, with limited in-person capacity, it’s best to register right away if you want to be there in person and take advantage of the early-bird rate. The on-demand portion of the conference will be available in early July.
