Apply for Virtual ACS General Surgery Oral Examination Prep Course

Two summer courses have been scheduled for the innovative ACS General Surgery Oral Examination Prep Course: Tuesday, August 22, and Friday, August 25. The deadline to apply for either session is Friday, July 21.

The 1-day virtual course helps prepare candidates for the General Surgery Certifying Examination. The course focuses on the cognitive elements of responding to examination questions, applying decision-making algorithms, and conveying care plans with key decision points and rationale. Each participant will complete three, 30-minute oral examinations with three different pairs of expert faculty members who provide individualized verbal and written feedback.
