RAS-ACS Hosts Virtual Ceremony for 2020 Medical School Graduates

Recognizing that in response to COVID-19 many medical schools have canceled their graduation ceremonies, the Resident and Associate Society of the American College of Surgeons (RAS-ACS) is creating a "Virtual Graduation" to celebrate the success of the Medical School Class of 2020. The video will include keynote speeches from Patricia L. Turner, MD, FACS, Director, ACS Division of Member Services; Beth H. Sutton, MD, FACS, Chair, ACS Board of Regents; and Valerie W. Rusch, MD, FACS, ACS President. In addition, eminent surgeon leaders of the College and specialty societies will offer important words of advice and well wishes. The ceremony also will feature submitted photos from the Class of 2020 who matched in surgery and surgical subspecialties. Keep your eye on the ACS website and RAS-ACS social media accounts for the premiere later this month!
