Congratulations on achieving the monumental milestone of becoming an ACS Fellow!
You are currently an Initiate and will become a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons during the Convocation Ceremony on Sunday, October 16, 2022. More than 2,000 Initiates will be inducted as Fellows of the American College of Surgeons at the Convocation Ceremony held during the Clinical Congress. Details about the ceremony will follow soon.
On behalf of the ACS leadership, we hope you will join your 2022 Initiate class this year in San Diego to participate in the ceremony as we recognize and honor your achievement! Your attendance at Convocation is encouraged but is not mandatory. Fellowship will be conferred in absentia upon all Initiates who are unable to attend the ceremony.
The FACS designation may NOT be used after your name in any manner until the Convocation Ceremony has concluded.
Initiates must pay their Initiate Fee by August 31. To pay your Initiate fee, the College website, select My Profile from the blue navigation bar, and then Profile Overview. You will find a link to pay membership dues on the left side of your profile page. Please Note: Fellowship certificates are mailed to new Fellows only after payment of the Initiate fee.

As part of the Convocation ceremony, Initiates wear regalia to denote and celebrate the accomplishment of becoming a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. To rent or purchase your robe and hood for the Convocation, visit the website of Herff Jones.

Photo: To ensure your ACS Fellow profile is complete, please upload your photo into your profile by July 31. You are able to update your online profile by logging into the ACS website, clicking on My Profile, and then My Profile Overview. You will see an edit (pencil) icon in each section.
