Description: The Advanced Surgical Skills for Exposure in Trauma (ASSET™) course is a cadaver-based course using a body region approach to teaching essential surgical skills that may not be practiced frequently but are required in emergency surgery. The course will cover six key anatomic areas: neck, chest, abdomen and pelvis, and upper and lower extremities. Participants will review a case-based scenario in each of the five areas prior to starting the hands-on skills portion of the course.
