Description: Review the history and mission of the ACS Academy of Master Surgeon Educators Examine Academy outcomes and future plans. The ACS Academy of Master Surgeon Educators Special Session will provide an overview of the new ACS Academy. Establishment of the Academy by the Division of Education was approved by the Board of Regents in 2014. The mission of the Academy is 'to continually advance the science of education across surgery through innovation and the promotion of the highest standards in surgical education.' This session will address the Academy's history and current status, cover criteria for admission, highlight expected outcomes, and present future plans.
