Description: Obesity and metabolic syndrome impact the health of an epidemic proportion of the population. Treatment options have developed from well-known laparoscopic operations to include evaluation of an array of novel endoscopic technologies and other interventions. In addition, newer endoscopic capabilities have become integral to the management of complications following bariatric surgery. This session will discuss the current state of various endoscopic and non- traditional modalities for the treatment of obesity /metabolic syndrome and bariatric complications with an evidence based assessment of current results.
